Hi and welcome to shieldwall a site dedicated to my hobby of wargaming with model soldiers. My name is Jon Ward and I have been wargaming since the age of nine some twenty two odd years. These days my main periods of interest are ancients (WAB and DBA) and fantasy (WHFB and LotR). With  sorties into WW2 (Rapid Fire) and Sc-FI (40K). This is my first attempt at a website and I have big plans, but as we all know plans rarely survive contact with the enemy ...  

To browse the site just use the navigation bar on the left hand side. I have four pages dedicated to my main areas of gamming interest Anicents, Dark Ages, WW2 and Fantasy (including sci-fi). The gallery is where I hope to post up pictures of my painted models and armies as well any tips or comments about painting I may have. The interesting links will contain links to other sites I like or think are useful. Finally dispatches is a page reserved for me to waffle about all things wargaming be it figures, rules or shows I've visited.
